What are the signs which show a cat has already given birth?

I recently adopted a stray cat who had all the symptoms of pregnancy. Every morning we let it outside. I have a slight suspicion that my cat has already given birth since his stomach seems smaller. It may not be anything of significance of I may just be paranoid about the safety of her kittens. So I was just wondering if there are any significant signs that show post-pregnancy symptoms.
