My wife considers this cheating?

I recently met a woman at a week long work training session at work. The woman was my supervisor and we struck up conversations during the week that ranged from our families to of course work related issues. I had mentioned the woman to my wife in the latter part of the week and my wife got a little jealous and asked me if I had gone out to lunch with this woman or anything else to the effect, which I did not ,She even joked calling her my "girlfriend" for a couple of days. I mentioned her to my wife because through our conversations my two dogs came up and she expressed her desire that her spouse and her were looking for a dog and didn't think it was manageable, but hearing that I had two and managed it ,she asked alot of questions about the training that my wife and I had provided our dogs, so i asked my wife for some tips that I may have forgotten so I could relay the info to this woman. On the last day of training this woman asked for my number, she asked if it was ok if she contacted me for the dog breeder information and some training questions she may have when she does get a dog, I gave her my cellphone number. I didn't tell my wife this fact as I knew she would think the worst. I had no bad intentions ! My wife being in the same field of work tracked this woman down and told me she was going to contact her and see if I had lied about going out to lunch, at that point I didn't want her to hear it from her , so I told her I gave her my cellphone number. She became very angry and laced into to me, she said that after she had expressed her doubts and suspicion of this woman initially during the training, I was very wrong in giving out my cellphone number without telling her. I never received or asked for her number. My wife reached out to this woman who confirmed my story and told her we never went to lunch and that she was very happily married. My wife thinks that this is a form of cheating ?? I don't see it that way. I would never cheat on my wife. Another point she made was that I had told her that this woman didn't "hang out" with me during an extended break we had during our training days ( I only worked with her for the half the day, then we changed offices and personnel), in fact she found out through the woman that the woman purchased coffee for me several times that week (which I paid for) during that break and when she brought me coffee she stayed there for a few minutes where some small talk took place, nothing I even remember. I didn't consider that hanging out? it couldn't have been more than 5 minutes. She's also mad because we have friends and co-workers in common and I had introduced this woman to them when they walked over to me and I happened to be in conversation with the woman, my wife said who was I to intriduce this woman to them after only knowing her for several days?
